CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Baxter-Patrick James Island Library is temporarily closed following a staff member testing positive for COVID-19. Per CCPL's response protocols, the library is being cleaned and sanitized by a certified third-party contractor. The branch will offer curbside service only on Saturday, Jan. 23, and Monday, Jan 25 during regular operating hours. It is expected to reopen for in-person service on Tuesday, Jan. 26.
All employees known to have come into contact with COVID positive individuals are being notified and self-quarantine guidelines are being followed.
CCPL continues to work with DHEC, and follow CDC guidelines, to ensure that all best practices are implemented in our service models to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and protect our staff and patrons.
