About the Tech Team

Charleston County Public Library provides free technology classes and programs. These classes cover a range of topics from computer basics to artificial intelligence. Most classes and programs do not require advanced registration. Contact your branch below for more information about a specific class.

Individual Tech Help

• One-on-One Appointments

  Do you have a few questions about how to use your laptop, smartphone or tablet? Need a little help with that special project or getting started with CCPL’s downloadable and streaming services? Sign up online or call your local branch listed below to schedule a 30 minute appointment with a Tech Librarian!

Other CCPL Resources

• Print From Home

  Library patrons can use a personal computer or mobile device to send documents to the library's public printers and then visit their preferred branch to release, pick up and pay for their documents

• Creative Studios

  Several library branches have creative studios with recording and editing equipment, 3D printers, sewing machines, and much more!

• Google Chromebooks

  Google Chromebooks may be checked out by adult library cardholders for a period of four weeks and are not renewable. Patrons must have a CCPL library card and sign a Borrower Agreement form when checking out the device.

• Internet Hotspots

  Mobile WiFi hotspots are available for checkout for adult library cardholders for a period of four weeks and are not renewable. Hotspots allow users to connect their smartphone, tablet or laptop to the internet. Patrons must have a CCPL library card and sign an Internet Acceptable Use Agreement before checkout.
