Charleston County Public Library (CCPL) is partnering with the Department of Public Health to offer a new program series designed to empower community members with the tools they need to live healthier lives.
This free, ongoing series explores the vital connections between nutrition, diabetes prevention, and heart health, offering practical advice on how small lifestyle changes can make a big difference. Each session is led by a public health representative and includes time for attendees to ask questions and get personalized guidance.
The first sessions will take place at the Baxter-Patrick James Island Library:
Nutrition and Food Labels 101
Tuesday, October 7 at 6 p.m.Diabetes Prevention
Tuesday, November 4 at 6 p.m.Heart Health
Tuesday, December 2 at 6 p.m.
CCPL encourages participants to attend the full series for the greatest benefit, though each program also stands on its own.
The series will run at CCPL branches on an ongoing basis through 2026, with new dates and locations added regularly.
