Hurricane season is almost here. Are you prepared?

Hurricane Preparedness Week is May 1-7, 2022. Charleston County's Emergency Management Department will be at select library locations this May discussing hurricane safety, evacuation measures, and what you can do to get ready for the upcoming hurricane season.  The will be an opportunity to ask questions as well.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration encourages you to prepare for hurricane season which begins June 1 by determining your personal hurricane risk, finding out if you live in a hurricane evacution zone and reviewing and updating your insurance policies. You can also make a list for emergency supplies and determine how you can prepare your home in the case of a hurricane this season.
