The Charleston County Public Library (CCPL) has been awarded a grant from the Public Library Association in partnership with AT&T to provide digital literacy skills training in Spanish and English. CCPL was one of 200 libraries nationwide selected to receive $6,000 in funding to cover the costs of workshops in basic technology skills, including topics such as internet use, video conferencing, cybersecurity, mobile device basics, and information about the Affordable Connectivity Program.
Workshops funded by the PLA Digital Literacy Workshop Incentive will take place October - November at select CCPL branches. Join us for classes in Spanish in October and classes in English in November. One different participant from each class will be randomly selected to recieve a free iPad. No registration is required to attend, see the schedule below:
