CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston County Public Library (CCPL) will be closing all branches Thursday, March 18 at 1 p.m. due to expected severe weather. All book drops/material returns will remain open during this time. CCPL plans to re-open its branches as scheduled on Friday.
The West Ashley Library will close at noon so that Charleston County crews can sandbag the doorways around the building to prevent any possible flooding.
The Charleston Friends of the Library will have its sale on Friday and Saturday as planned, however the Thursday evening member's sale will be cancelled.
