Dancing on Air Hip-Hop Celebration
Celebrate the 50th anniversary of hip-hop with the Dancing On Air Crew Elements tour. Teens will learn more about four of the elements that make up the cultural phenomenon known as hip-hop: Graffiti, MCing, DJing and Breakin. This program is for grades 6-12.

Pump Up the Jam Dance Party
Bust a move! Dance with Joanne as we sweat to late 80's and early 90's dance tunes! Dressing in retro attire is most encouraged! For families with kids aged 11 and younger.

Hip-Hop Songwriting Workshop
Honor 50 years of hip hop with us at a songwriting and production workshop with local group, Moon Heist. They will do an overview of their creative process and have a Q&A. Aspiring artists, musicians, poets, producers, and the curious are welcome to attend. This program is for ages 11-18 and grades 6-12. Established in Charleston, Moon Heist is signed to Compound Records, owned by platinum selling artist Ne-Yo, with writing credits on his single Never Settle. Stream members Gamma Donatello and RaWorthy to see their solo projects and more of their work.

In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop, join CCPL and the companies of Charleston's own The Dance Space for an exciting performance commemorating five decades of hip hop!

How well do you know 80’s Hip Hop? Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop by matching the popular song to the artist on a bingo card. Prizes will be awarded. Registration is strongly encouraged. Refreshments will be provided.

Hip-Hop Dance Class for Kids
This 40-minute hip hop dance program gets kids up and moving while learning hip hop history and dance vocabulary. We will move to up beat and family friendly music. Come in comfortable clothes and shoes. Parents are welcome to move along with their little ones! This program is geared toward ages 5 to 7.
