CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston County Treasurer Mary Tinkler is making three stops at CCPL branches this week to introduce people to the Advance Property Tax Installment Plan, and talk about ways it benefits property owners.
What is the Advance Property Tax Installment Plan?
It's a system that lets Charleston County taxpayers who own homes, land, buildings, or mobile homes in the county pay their bills through advance payments at no additional cost. For anyone interested in enrolling, you have until January 15, 2020. Forms are available at the County's website or any treasurer's office.
The advance payment plan creates 6 equal payments based on the previous year's real property tax bill.
Join Treasurer Tinkler at the following library branches to learn more and ask specific questions about your property taxes and how the advance tax installment plan would work for you.
