October 18, 2023

Charleston County Public Library and Pet Helpers present the Second Annual Pet Fashion Show! Join us on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 10 a.m. at Baxter-Patrick James Island Library as our furry friends from Pet Helpers strut the catwalk for our very own Project Pet Runway! Our four-legged friends will be showcasing designs created by teens in CCPL’s Creative Studios and at home. Come by and cheer on our fashion-forward furry pals or submit your one-of-a-kind design for all to enjoy! No sign-up is required to attend the event, but registration may be required to attend the design classes. Please contact a participating branch for more information. Pet Helpers will not have on-site adoption available.

Want to attend the Sewing Class Series for the Pet Fashion Show? See the info below!

Baxter-Patrick James Island Library: Dec. 18 from 4:30-6 p.m. Please call 843-795-6679 for more information about BPJI's event.

Learn basic sewing skills while making an outfit for a pet! For students in grades 6-12, CCPL is offering a teen sewing class where teens can learn sewing basics and create a runway-ready pet outfit that you can submit to be considered for CCPL's Pet Fashion Show. Supplies will be provided. Registration is required. You can choose to donate your final design no later than Jan. 18 for a chance to be used in CCPL’s first Pet Fashion Show on February 1 at the Baxter-Patrick James Island Library where animals will walk the catwalk wearing designs from teens across Charleston County.

Want a chance to showcase your design at the fashion show but do not want to attend the classes? No problem! We ask that you please submit your design at any CCPL branch no later than Saturday, Jan. 18. All donated designs may not appear on the catwalk and will not be returned.
