Search functions restored for CCPL digital services in catalog

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The Charleston County Public Library (CCPL) e-resources interrupted by our catalog vendor earlier this year have been restored after another system update.

The service interruption primarily affected Overdrive and RBdigital. 

For patrons who received eerror messages when trying to access those services through our catalog, the service has been restored. 

Patrons may still access these digital services directly through the proprietary apps, including the Overdrive app, the Libby app for Overdrive, and the RBdigital app. All are available for free download in the app store. Those services can also be accessed directly on the web through the Digital Collections section of the CCPL website.

In order to access Overdrive, patrons will be asked for a library card number during each use. In order to access RBdigital, patrons must register for an account, which will be validated through the patron’s library card number during registration.
